In Association with The Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships (AOTS) JASTECA secures Japanese scholarships for Management, Entrepreneurial and Leadership training programs for Sri Lankans. Over 3500 scholarships were awarded in 3 decades offering in depth workshops with direct on-site exposure in top Japanese factories such as Toyota, Nissan.
With a view to promoting Japanese Techniques of Management and work ethics, JASTECA organises and conducts national competitions in 5S, Kaizen and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) culminating in the annual "JASTECA AWARDS".
JASTECA Institute of Management (JIM), the training arm of JASTECA, seminars on varied managerial topics and soft skills.
Japanese Language Education Association (JLEA) conducts regular classes in Japanese Language to Sri Lankan youth and conducts the bi-annual International Japanese Language Proficiency Tests (JLPT) on behalf of the Japan Foundation, Japan.
JASTECA endeavors to inculcate among Sri Lankans the world class Japanese standards of quality & productivity and strives to provide a forum for continuing professional development and social networking to its alumni.
To be recognized as one of the best managed & futuristic AOTS alumni associations in the world and a leading association in Sri Lanka promoting Human Resource Development, transfer of Japanese Management Techniques / Technology and trade & investment with Japan.
To build cultural and business relationships between Japan & Sri Lanka
To promote cultural & business links with other countries through the network of AOTS alumni societies and World Network of Friendship (WNF)
To promote trade and investment between Japanese organisations and JASTECA alumni with the help of AOTS Research Institute (ARI)

We, the Japan Sri Lanka Technical & Cultural Association, (JASTECA) are the sole Alumni Association of The Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships (AOTS), Japan in Sri Lanka. Our Association is formed of returned trainees from scholarship programs offered by AOTS. Thus, the returned, enlightened trainees are eligible to become members of Japan Sri Lanka Technical & Cultural Association (JASTECA).
